Come to Me
My rescue dog, Dixie, loves living in the marsh. There are so many treasures to find in the marsh grass and the delicate aroma of earth. I love to walk, but I also have other things on my schedule. I am consistently calling out for her because she tends to blend in with the wheat colored grass and she is hard for me to spot.
She pretends not to hear me. I know this game from childhood.
I do get irritated about delays and her wandering.
Does God get frustrated as we wander? We may be haveing a great time in life, but God is calling. Have we strayed so far off the path that we don’t hear the voice of the Holy One?
God needs us to hear and obey. I care a lot about my dog and her well-being. I have claimed my rights with Dixie in order to train her to obey.
God loves us, and we owe the Almighty our heart, soul and mind. Listen!
God is calling, “come to me, now.”
