The Holiness of God

1 Samuel 2:2 There is none holy like the LORD: for there is none besides you, there is no rock like our God.

When I think of the song, “How Great Thou Art,” I see visions of the cloud formations, the sun rays streaking cumulonimbus, a dense, towering, vertical cloud that builds upward in powerful buoyant air currents, and wind becoming more and more bringing a thunderstorm cell. This is not bringing images of anger or trouble but of God being in control. He is the creator and He is omnipotent.

“The power throughout the universe displayed.”

God is Holy. From the most miniscule critter roaming the earth to the lions, the elephant, a gazelle, a lamb. Everything that we see, wherever we go, is made by God, with a purpose, for a reason. Man, made in His image, sent to earth to proclaim God’s greatness, His holiness.

What do you see when you picture, ‘God?’
